• Hiking
Three hiking circuits will be proposed to you from Bellefontaine. They are 8, 14 and 18 kilometres long, and they will help you discover the beauty and variety of the Argonne forest. They do not appear to have any real difficulty, yet it is better to wear walking shoes. Dowload the topographical map of the circuits.

• Places of cultural interest
Should you visit the great War sites, as the area is a Mecca to do so, the neighbouring Vauquois Mound is a must. Furthermore, Beaulieu-en-Argonne, a nearby village, benefits from a unique location on top of a hill, just like Lachalade Abbey.

• Events
During the second fortnight of July, a yearly music festival takes place in different churches in Argonne,including Futeau Church. During this festival named "Fête musicale de la forêt", some praiseworthy classical music concerts are being performed. Nevertheless, those who prefer other styles of music will certainly enjoy the festival "Au pré de mon âne" which takes place in Evres-en-Argonne during the summer season.
